“Never in history has the easy life led to a great life. Not in one case has something great come without tribulation, struggle, or failure. Instead of fearing struggle, strain, and tribulation, you should embrace it; nay, seek it at every opportunity, and incorporate it into your life daily. It’s in struggle that you experience growth. It’s in conquering obstacles that you experience life.”

High School Wrestlers

  • SWA High School Girls

The SWA High School Girls Team is Sanderson’s premier high-school girls training group. Membership is open to all girls but is recommend to have 1-2 years experience. The Girls HS Team has different levels of experience but is focused on helping athletes train and compete at a high level. Participation includes some in and out-of-state travel.

  • SWA BOYS High School Team

The SWA high school boys training group is based at our Bountiful campus. In a high‑energy, focused environment, the program develops the core skills, drills, and match situations that define Sanderson wrestling. The team maintains a strong roster—dozens of UHSAA state placers train with the group each week, continually raising performance standards. Practices are held twice weekly outside the high‑school season and once weekly during the season; participation requires an annual commitment. Due to strong demand and limited availability, the group fills quickly—register early to secure your spot.

  • SWA High School National Team

The SWA High School National Team is Sanderson’s premier high-school training group. Membership requires prior participation in, or formal admission to this group. The National team carries an annual commitment. Participation includes out‑of‑state travel. Athletes not yet on the National Team should begin with the SWA High School Team; when openings arise, selections are made from that roster to fill needed weight classes.

  • Sanderson South High School National Team

We are pleased to announce the opening of our High School group at the South location. Enrollment is open, subject to a minimum of two years' wrestling experience; all interested wrestlers must submit an introductory athlete biography. The program offers both annual and seasonal participation options. Space is limited, so early registration is recommended.
