ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF WRESTLING

EXCELLENCE IN WRESTLING INSTRUCTION

The University of Wrestling was founded to provide better opportunities to master the sport of wrestling for wrestlers, coaches, parents, and officials. Like a university, it offers events, training opportunities, and classes that are objective-driven, taught and guided by some of the best teachers in the sport.

SYSTEMATIC TRAINING FOR WRESTLERS

Our training and competition opportunities provide a network of diverse regional training partners and top-level instruction for ages K-12th grade. Learning is scaffolded and age appropriate. Skills are always taught within a “systematic” framework. A system of wrestling is not just a handful of move tricks, which is the approach many wrestlers take; instead, it’s a system used to set-up your opponent with simple but proven techniques then capitalizing on the opponent’s reaction to score points, then repeating the process. The best wrestlers and coaches use a system. At all of University of Wrestling courses, a systematic framework is paramount.
